Blog Created
This blog has been created to facilitate conversation and discussion among our CCCC Ohio Fellowship friends. It is a work in process. It will only be valuable if we use it. So, use it.
As a starter, why not discuss the book Marshall gave out at our last meeting. Didn't receive one, contact Marshall.

This is an example of a comment. We can experiment with the kind of blog and see it if meets our needs. If no one is interested or if no one comments, it will be a moot point.

Right, diversity is use as a power word in many liberal agenda's.
Wrong, we need to accept that we are all different in Christs eye (foot, hand, eye etc..) We don't have the same focus for our lives as others and this is God's plan for our mutual support and improvement. Part of the deeper meaning of Rom 8:28.
One thing that has always bothered me is that since the end of World war (ww1) we have placed national identity over Christian identity. IN WW1 the number of bullets per kill was in the 10,000 range, whereas in ww2 the number was down significantly. This was not due to improved weapons although obviously that plays a part. The biggest impact came from the fact that in WW1 we Christians clearly perceived that they were shooting at likely a brother in Christ, but, not being able to resist their government wore the uniform of their nation and deliberately shot wide. There are many accounts of enemy soldiers not killing one another when the opportunity presented itself simply because they knew it was wrong to kill a brother in Christ. Please understand I am not against war when it is truly justified. (WW1 was not justifiable by the Germans, but the defense of Europe was justifiable by the allies.)
Now after ww1 we found that the governments were more intent on building national unity and playing down religious unity because religious unity did not serve there purposes as easily. It's documented that the government started using human shaped targets instead of bullseyes simply because of our ingrained respect for human life and that by shooting a human cut out they desensitised us to the sanctity of life! This was one of the big reasons cited for the bullets per kill ratio 'improvement'.
We must build a unity among Christians that stand up for Christian unity before any other unity. Unity means, to me, united in purpose and faith- not in color or ethnic style. I love Chinese food and Thai food and Indian food and Italian food and african bush music and European opera and etc,...
I think it is high time the conservative movement adopted an international cooperative like the world council of churchs (only on a biblical foundation of course!).
And that we work to establish that ones national identity is secondary to our birth nationality. As an englishman I struggled with becoming an American until I realised that I was being silly. I am a christian first and foremost! (that's all that matters.)
I chose my rightful ruler (Christ) and any other ruler is a lessor person by default.
I think that bickering over music, and taste etc... is a divertionary tactic of governments, social engineers, and socialists. A true Christian puts taste issues (diversity on a palatable level) at the back of other issues. Now when it comes to Theology, then, then you have something to deny diversity on. I add that I find too many doctrinal statements to be too narrow, dividing over the bible translation to be allowed or the pre-post, baptism issues. We need to establish 1./the minimum standard of what a Christian actually is, (no diversity) and 2./ what the ideal standard for a Christian should be,(intelligent diversity) and understand that there will be differences to the ideal standard but none to the minimum standard.
What say you all?
